Started unpacking at 11:40am

Progress by 2:30 :D
Then we stopped for an hour for lunch
Finished at 4:30pm! :D It was surprisingly straight forward. & we got through it without a single argument haha.
Anyways, 1 week of holiday has passed already I better start brushing up on my neuroscience before its too late and I regret "wasting" my holidays again :P

Need a Quick Lunch Fix?

Made Spaghetti Bolognese last night and I had some left over Bolognese sauce so I thought I'd save it for lunch. I didn't feel like having pasta again. So I thought why not make an omelette!
I found some canned sweet corn in the pantry so I made a sweet corn omelette and topped the bolognese sauce over it. Super simple to make and you don't have to go out and buy anything! Well besides sweet corn if you don't have any at home :) So keeping my food budget in mind I'll jot down last night's pasta meal and today's lunch :)

Spaghetti Bolognese

1 LARGE can of diced tomatoes - $1.50 (on sale)
$3 of mince beef
No. 3 Spaghetti (because we like thin ones and not the thick spaghetti) - $3.5 a pack used half so $1.75
1 clove of garlic, 1 chopped onion, oregano, bazil - had at home

Total: $6.25 with left over pasta sauce!

Sweet Corn Omelette with left over Bolognese Sauce
for 2

Free ranged eggs x 8 (4 for each omelette) - $4 for a box of 12 therefore $2.70
Canned Sweet Corn (Snack sized) x 2 (1 for each omelette) - $3 for 4 cans therefore $1.50
Left over Bolognese Sauce - $0!!! :D

Total: $4.2 for a fulfilling lunch!

Relationships.

Tommy & I have been together for 4 years now. And it is not always easy. There are times when things are just on down side and other times when its on high heat. I'm not saying I'm an expert in relationships because I know a few friends of mine whom have been together this long as well or even longer but I'm writing this for my dear best friend.

Relationships do not just flow, and do not just "work out". Once in a relationship there are going to be times of doubt, confusion. In order to make a relationship work (for my case anyway) is honesty, and the willingness to make something work. A relationship will not work when it is too much of anything on any one person's side. A balance is always needed. We find it helpful to set up 'guidelines' in a relationship. For us, we said to each other that no matter what it is we have to be honest and truthful to each other even if it hurts the other person, because we both know the truth always comes out and when people leave things unsaid for too long it will just hurt the other person even more when they find out.

Every relationship is different, and everyone deals with things their own way. My boyfriend and I are still working out what annoys us and what ticks us off and its all a learning process. Yes, there will be times when you want to pull each other's heads off but its the way you both deal with situations and how you both move forward from these downfalls that makes the relationship grown stronger.

What makes a relationship special is taking things slow and steady, because as people say the faster you fall in love the faster you fall out of love. When all the lust and butterflies start fading don't think that you guys don't love each other any more, don't freak out. It's just things are starting to cool down and you guys are slowly coming out of your enclosed "bubble" (where all you can see is each other and no one else). It is then you will know if you guys are really meant to be because THEN you will have to start working at your relationship, dealing with things together, dealing WITH each other. Yeah at times you guys will take each other for granted, and sometimes you might feel like your just friends and yeah maybe there will be times when you guys ask each other "are we meant to be together?" but sometimes you need a little kick in the butt to notice how much you guys love each other in order to get back on the wagon.

No relationship is perfect. Everyone has their flaws, its all about compromising and understanding each other's needs, wants, and dislikes.

So yeah, there is no need to rush to find the right guy/ girl, s/he will come along and its normally the one who will wait for you till the end because you're worth it.

Midnight Cooking

Just cooked the "Osso Bucco " from MasterClass last week. I can't wait to tuck in tomorrow! :D It was meant for tonight's dinner but everything ran late and we had to go yoga before I could cook everything and since it takes 2 hours to cook there was no way we were going to have dinner at 12am. (p.s. we ate left overs so we didn't need to add to the budget hehe)

Sticking to my budget - this delicious looking pot of stew is to be eaten over 2 meals.
Osso Bucco (x 4) - $10.36
Stock - $3.42 used only half so $1.71
Parsley - $1.49 a bunch only used 1/4 $0.9
Carrots - $2 a bag used 3 so ill just say $1
Celery $0.22
Flour, salt, pepper, thyme and bay leaf - had at home already

That comes to a total of $14.19 for 2 meals! yaay a total winner!

you always make me happy.

Warm, self saucing chocolate pudding. What more can I say :) Thank you Donna Hay for your amazing recipes.
Last night was relaxing! Tommy & I sat on the couch tucked in a warm throw with this delicious pudding watching "Due Date". I must say it was a well deserved treat :) Since we haven't really spent time "together" these weeks due to uni work so it was a nice chill night for just the two of us.

Now. its time to get back on the ball and start working hard again. Must get those grades up! Good Luck everyone on their exams and assignments :)

2 birthday parties, 3 hrs of sleep and 2 exams later.

This weekend has been busy busy busy. Stayed up all night last night studying, I'm surprised I am still awake right now and I haven't dozed off. But I admit I did sneak a nap here or there in the early hours of the day.

But for now, before I start studying again and start on my Rural Health assignment, I made Tommy & I a fulfilling lunch - Gnocchi with Homemade bolognese sauce :) the total for both of us cost us less than $5! :D

PLUS I get to enjoy a cuppa whilst catching up on my favourite shows :) without feeling guilty.... for now.

Going to start my budget planning meals!
Hope I stick with it! *fingers crossed*
Out to get groceries now :)

OH why OH why.

First of all, a little shout out to my gorgeous friend Rowena for turning 20! Thank you for a wonderfully cooked meal and a fantastic night :) Love youuuu xx

Procrastination = NO study. = FML. haha.
But I have developed a little wishlist for myself. Things to save up for x)
#1 Clothing

I don't know why but maybe because all my heel are black I got attracted to these sky high blue heels from top shop. I highly doubt I'll stick with this choice but I suppose its good to add some colour into my thoughts on clothing x)
Dresses. OH how I love dresses these two from glue, I want!! However, they are new stock so they are pricey :( Why do people make clothing soo expensive :(
Winter has finally arrived and I have a new obsession of oversized sweaters & cardigans I found this one from Glue (again. :P) a favourite, & it looks super comfy *snuggles*
I realise this backfires everything I wrote on my previous post about saving up for the end of the year. I can do both right...?
The house is a mess right now, Tommy's design project is taking over the wall and the floor space! I'll do a before and after when we can start cleaning up and sorting all his trace paper and model bits.

I must say I am very unhappy with this weather. NONE of my clothes are drying on the clothing rack and I REALLY don't want to use the dryer because its not very good at drying (its one of those ones which is a washing machine and a dryer - I never know how that can work).

Well I should get back to studying, I got to get me some good grades this year. GO GO GO!

xx
