Exams & The Cold Cold Weather

Exams sucks. The cold & wet weather sucks. I hate exams and I dislike the cold. I personally rather assignments but Tommy disagrees with me. I suppose if I was in his shoes I would disagree with me too look at how much pieces of paper I'll have to surround myself with!!!! Compared to my neat stack of books :D haha. Good luck babe! you can pwn design's ass! :D

On the brighter side of things I am SOOO liking the mini cookbooks The Daily Telegraph is selling :) & its also Masterchef season! So, I've been cooking HEAPS of new food :) + after looking through the mini Donna Hay "Seasons" I've decided to save up for it so I can own it by the end of the month :D

I recently bought a set of cups, bowls and dishes from Madeit.com.au :D I really like this guy's art :D though I thought the whole set was bigger than they actually are :P but still it looks goood x) & I can have smaller portions of everything ;)

After watching an episode of Masterclass I gave Maggie Beer's Roast Chook a try :D and the garlic was actually really really yummy!! I made the chicken twice, the first time the breast dried out a little :( but the second time was a success! :D I made it with stuffing as well :)

& since I've seen people do it ALL the time I decided to pan sear some scallops for a try! with a herb butter and a bed of semi-smashed peas :D

Since Tommy & I have to save up for our end of the year family trip, I have decided after exams are over I am going to spend only $20 a day MAX on cooking food hopefully I can keep it lower than $10 a day and see how much we can save before the end of the year :D hmm.. we should set a target really. Anyway, dinner's ready :D - my version of Korean potato noodles x)

When will the sun come out?

Amongst the busyness of things as Semester 1 enters its last few weeks. These are a few things that kept me going:

I love comfy spreadsheets! And since I can't afford 1000 threadcount bedsheets I bought the next closest thing :) Bed T! it is sooo comfy, its like being surrounded by lots and lots of soft tshirts! Its soo great for this horrible weather in Sydney. Always gloomy and wet :(

It was our 4 years anniversary recently and this year it was my turn to plan :) Since the Melbourne International Comedy Festival was on at the time, I decided to plan a weekend get away to Melbourne.

This was our second time back & it was such a relaxing trip. We ate HEAPS. but we also walked EVERYWHERE. so hopefully that burned a few calories away :P

This was the most amazing black forest cake! Found in Ganache Chocolate on Collins Street. They have amazing hot chocolate too!

On our Anniversary day we went to Movida Aqui. The atmosphere was really nice and comfortable. The food was amazing and a very different style of Spanish cuisine. Like the stuffed quail you can see in the picture :P. If your going to Melbourne and want to try any of the Movida restaurants you will have to book like a month in advance at least!

Tommy & I have yoga in 2.5 hours. I really hope it doesn't rain because we have to go to Hurlstone Park and then walk to the school :( Oh weather. Please be kind to us.
